Explosion (2011)

This oil painting with thick impasto strokes is my first impasto oil paintings. I painted this based on the inspirations from SEM photographs of cancer cells when I was working in a cancer research lab as a researcher. This kicked start my impasto oil painting journey. The painting is sold in a charity art auction where most proceeds go to cancer research to find better cure for cancer.
